Chairman, National Action Council (NAC), Dr. Olapade Agoro on Wednesday described the abduction of 110 Dapchi schoolgirls by the Boko Haram insurgents as a national calamity.
Agoro in a statement sent to DAILY POST in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital while blaming President Muhammadu Buhari for the abduction and failure to rescue the schoolgirls since they were abducted over a week ago, however, asked him (Buhari) to resign immediately for his alleged failure in maintaining security in the country.
In the statement he personally signed, Agoro said, “Nigeria now is dangerously and damagingly miffed in chamber of horror and terror of clear signal of leadership total failure of President Muhamadu Buhari’s tail wagging the dog.
“It becomes apt to reiterate the fact that never since the inception of the nationhood of Nigeria and not even the terrible experience of Biafra war has it been this so bad we are forced to wallow under one form of antecedence of horror, fears and tears.”
Agoro in the statement also blamed the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for the recent violence in Kaduna where many lives were lost and properties set ablaze.
